Cookies are small text files that a website stores or reads through your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which can keep limited information in your browser. Some expire when you close the browser; others remain until their set expiry or until you delete them.

Strictly necessary cookies. DeepTrail uses cookies needed to authenticate you, maintain a secure session, prevent request forgery, balance or route requests, and protect the Service from abuse. The Service may not work correctly if these cookies are blocked.

Short-lived browser storage. We may use session storage for temporary interface state, such as carrying a one-time confirmation message after authentication. This information normally disappears when the browser session ends.

Preferences. Where available, limited browser storage may remember choices that make the interface work consistently. These choices do not contain investigation results or create a saved history of completed investigations.

DeepTrail does not use cookies for targeted advertising. The current DeepTrail frontend does not set optional advertising cookies.

When checkout begins, we may save a small account-allowance comparison in local browser storage so the returning checkout tab can recognize a backend-confirmed update. It contains no payment link, session token, or investigation data. It is consumed on return and ignored after one hour.

Shared investigation copies. Authentication cookies and short-lived interface storage do not save investigation sessions. DeepTrail does not save ordinary investigation sessions in its backend database. Only a deliberate share-link or public-publishing action creates a retained completed copy for later access, as explained in our Privacy Policy. Unlisted links remain outside the public gallery and search indexing; public copies may be prerendered and indexed. Neither type requires the recipient to sign in to view the saved investigation.

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google may use cookies on its own pages to authenticate you, prevent fraud, and remember its settings. Those cookies are controlled by Google and governed by its policies. Email and password sign-in uses DeepTrail’s essential session and security mechanisms.

When you open or complete a purchase, Waffo Pancake, our merchant of record, may use cookies and similar technologies to operate checkout, process payment, manage subscriptions, localize pricing or taxes, and prevent fraud. Its privacy notice also describes analytics, functional, and advertising technologies on Waffo’s own services. Waffo controls its technologies and applicable consent choices under its Privacy Policy.

Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and clear site data. Blocking all cookies may prevent you from signing in, staying signed in, completing checkout, or using protected features. Browser controls vary, so consult your browser’s privacy or site-data settings.

Because DeepTrail’s own cookies are currently used for essential operation rather than targeted advertising, the site does not provide an advertising-cookie opt-out. You can still clear or block them through your browser.

Browsers may send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Because DeepTrail does not sell personal information or use cookies for targeted advertising, these signals do not change essential cookie behavior. We will respect legally required browser-based opt-out signals if our practices change in a way that makes them applicable.

We may update this policy when browser technologies, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy and update the date above. If we introduce optional cookies that require consent, we will provide an appropriate choice before using them where required.
