Responsible Use Policy

The rules for lawful, careful, and evidence-aware use of DeepTrail.

Last updated September 10, 2026

DeepTrail helps people understand public online signals. That capability must be used carefully. This Responsible Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to every user, investigation, result, export, and API request.

1. Use DeepTrail for a legitimate purpose

You may use DeepTrail for lawful research, journalism, brand or fraud review, authorized security work, academic study, due diligence, or understanding your own public footprint, provided your use respects applicable law and the rights of others.

You must have a legitimate purpose and any consent, authorization, or other lawful basis required for the investigation. Curiosity alone does not justify harmful, intrusive, deceptive, or discriminatory use.

2. Handle findings responsibly

  • Use only information you are legally entitled to access and use.
  • Review original sources and contradictory evidence before relying on a finding.
  • Keep observed, inferred, unresolved, and contradicted findings clearly distinguished.
  • Limit collection, disclosure, and retention to what your legitimate purpose requires.
  • Use appropriate security and access controls when handling results.
  • Correct or stop using information when you learn it is materially inaccurate or unlawfully obtained.

3. Privacy, harassment, and surveillance

You must not use the Service to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, shame, or unlawfully monitor a person.
  • Dox, expose, publish, or facilitate access to private contact details, precise location, credentials, financial information, medical information, or other sensitive personal data.
  • Track a person’s movements or activities without lawful authority or a legitimate, proportionate purpose.
  • Target victims of abuse, witnesses, whistleblowers, activists, journalists, or other vulnerable people for retaliation or intimidation.
  • Impersonate another person, use deception to obtain non-public information, or facilitate unwanted contact.

4. Discrimination and high-impact decisions

Do not infer highly sensitive traits or use DeepTrail to discriminate based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, health, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, political beliefs, union membership, genetic information, or another protected characteristic.

You may not use a DeepTrail result as the sole or decisive basis for decisions about employment, housing, education, credit, insurance, immigration, law enforcement, legal services, or access to essential goods or services. Material decisions require appropriate authority, human review, direct notice where required, and reliable independent verification.

5. Safety, exploitation, and illegal activity

You must not use the Service to support violence, abuse, extortion, blackmail, trafficking, sexual exploitation, fraud, identity theft, unauthorized access, malicious software, sanctions evasion, or any other unlawful activity.

Use involving children requires exceptional care and a clear lawful safeguarding purpose. The Service may never be used to profile, groom, exploit, endanger, or locate a child for an improper purpose.

6. Respect systems and access controls

Do not use DeepTrail to access private accounts or content, bypass authentication, defeat technical restrictions, obtain credentials, or instruct others to do so. Do not probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or automate access to DeepTrail except through an authorized API and within documented limits.

Do not remove evidence, source, qualification, or safety information in order to make an uncertain finding appear confirmed.

7. Misrepresentation and redistribution

Do not claim that DeepTrail findings are official records, guaranteed facts, or endorsed by a source platform. You may not sell, publish, or build a personal-data database from DeepTrail results without our written permission and a valid legal basis covering the people and information involved.

If you share a permitted result, provide enough context for a recipient to understand its sources, date, limitations, and whether each material conclusion was observed or inferred.

8. Reporting concerns

Report suspected misuse, a safety concern, or a result about you that may be inaccurate or unlawful to [email protected]. Include the relevant account, source, or result and enough detail for us to review the issue. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information.

9. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, review information available during an active investigation session, preserve relevant account or security records, restrict features, remove access, suspend or terminate accounts, revoke associated entitlements, and report conduct to appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law. This enforcement process does not create a saved investigation history: investigation inputs, source material, and results are deleted when the investigation session ends. We consider context, severity, history, and risk when deciding how to respond.

Unless prohibited by law or necessary to prevent harm, we will try to provide notice and a way to appeal. Suspension or termination for misuse does not create a right to a refund, except where required by law or Paddle’s applicable buyer terms.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy to address new risks, legal requirements, or Service capabilities. We will post the revised version and update the date above.

For questions about a proposed use, contact [email protected] before proceeding. DeepTrail is operated by Shenzhen Ques Technology Co., Ltd. Visit quesx.com.
