Terms of Service

DeepTrail is an AI-assisted public-source investigation service. Starting from information you provide, it can organize relevant publicly available material into an evidence-backed profile, relationship network, and activity timeline. API access may be available under certain plans.

The Service is an information and investigation tool. It does not provide legal, financial, employment, credit, insurance, or other professional advice, and it does not guarantee that a person, account, relationship, or activity has been identified correctly.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account and may not share, sell, or transfer it without our permission.

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Responsible Use Policy. In particular, you must not use DeepTrail to stalk, harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, or unlawfully surveil another person; expose private or sensitive information; evade access controls; or make a high-impact decision solely from an AI-generated result.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis for your investigation and for your use, disclosure, and retention of any result. Public availability does not remove privacy, intellectual-property, contractual, or other legal protections.

The Service may reference public webpages, social platforms, and other third-party sources. Those services are controlled by their respective operators and may change, remove, restrict, or correct their content at any time. DeepTrail is not affiliated with or endorsed by those operators unless expressly stated.

You must comply with applicable third-party terms and laws. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or practices, and a DeepTrail link or citation is not an endorsement.

DeepTrail uses automated systems and may draw inferences from incomplete, conflicting, outdated, or incorrect public information. Observed and inferred findings can both be wrong. Confidence or qualification labels describe the available evidence; they are not guarantees or probabilities of truth.

You must review the attached evidence, consider contradictory or missing information, and independently verify important conclusions before acting. Do not present an inferred or unresolved result as a confirmed fact.

Plans and credits. Available plans, prices, billing periods, and included search allowances are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Search credits and plan access are personal to the purchasing account, have no cash value, and may not be transferred or resold. Unless expressly stated at purchase, unused subscription allowances do not roll over.

Waffo Pancake as merchant of record. Purchases use Waffo Pancake, our merchant of record and authorized reseller. Waffo handles payments, transaction receipts, applicable sales tax, VAT or GST, and approved refunds. Checkout is subject to Waffo’s Buyer Terms and Conditions. DeepTrail remains responsible for providing the Service.

Recurring billing. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout until cancelled. You authorize Waffo to charge your chosen payment method. Annual plans are charged in advance; the Trial pack is a one-time purchase with no automatic renewal.

Plan switches. Before switching a subscription plan or billing cycle, review and confirm the change in Waffo checkout. Under our plan-switching flow, the old subscription ends, unused time is credited toward the new plan, and a new billing period starts. Waffo shows the amount due; the credit is not a separate cash refund. Unused Trial investigations do not carry over to a subscription.

Changes. We may change future pricing or plan features. Changes do not alter a completed one-time purchase. For an existing subscription, we will provide notice of a material price change before it applies to a later renewal where required by law.

Cancel through your DeepTrail dashboard, the Waffo buyer portal linked in your order confirmation, or contact [email protected]. Cancellation stops renewal and normally preserves access until the paid period ends. Past-due subscriptions may end immediately. Cancelling does not request a refund.

General policy. Purchases are generally non-refundable. We do not offer prorated refunds for unused subscription time, investigations, or credits, except where law or Waffo’s applicable terms require otherwise. Plan-switch credits are described above.

Waffo purchases. Refunds and billing disputes follow sections 9 and 12 of Waffo’s Buyer Terms and Conditions, including billing corrections and applicable consumer cancellation rights.

Consumer rights. Mandatory withdrawal and refund rights take precedence. Waffo’s terms describe a 14-day initial consumer cancellation period with digital-content exceptions; automatic renewals do not start a new period under those terms. Applicable law controls, including any requirements for consent to immediate delivery. Nothing here limits remedies for defective or misdescribed services.

Requesting a refund. Open the buyer portal from your Waffo order confirmation, or contact [email protected] with your purchase email, order reference, and issue. Do not send investigation targets or results.

Approved refunds. Processing and arrival depend on your payment method, bank, and payment processors. Refunded access or credits may be removed. Subscription cancellation is separate.

The Service, including its software, design, models, branding, and original content, is owned by Ques or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.

You retain rights in information you submit. You grant us the limited rights needed to receive, process, transmit, and hold investigation information temporarily in session-scoped systems to operate, secure, and support the Service. We do not save ordinary investigation sessions, inputs, findings, or evidence in our backend database or persistent history; temporary session information is deleted when its session ends. Only if you deliberately create a share link or publish a public page do you direct us to store, reproduce, and display a separate completed snapshot, its evidence, and associated media for ongoing later access. Unlisted links are accessible to anyone who receives them; public pages appear in the gallery of investigations shared by everyone, may be prerendered into website files, and may appear in search engines. You must have the rights and lawful basis to disclose that information. Sharing can disclose information beyond your control, and recipients and search engines may retain their own copies. You represent that you have the rights and lawful basis required to submit it.

You may not copy, modify, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, circumvent limits on, or create competing services from DeepTrail except where applicable law does not permit that restriction or we authorize it in writing.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. We do not save investigation sessions in the backend unless you deliberately share by link or publish a public page. Ordinary session inputs, source material, and results are temporary and deleted when that session ends. Deliberately shared or published completed snapshots are retained separately for later access, subject to the retention and rights-request processes in the Privacy Policy. We separately retain limited account and operational information—such as your current plan, usage totals, billing records, and security records—where needed to provide and protect the Service or comply with law.

We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that every public source can be accessed, or that any investigation will produce a particular result. We may set or enforce reasonable technical and usage limits to protect users, sources, and the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and that results will meet your requirements.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ques and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ques and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers from third-party claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful or unauthorized use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or the Responsible Use Policy, created risk or harm, failed to pay applicable charges, or used the Service fraudulently or unlawfully. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal at [email protected].

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, and dispute terms—will survive.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting formal proceedings, you and Ques agree to try in good faith for 30 days to resolve a dispute by contacting the other party.

Any unresolved dispute will be submitted to the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission for arbitration in Shenzhen, China, under the rules then in effect. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief, and mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

These Terms, the Responsible Use Policy, and policies incorporated by reference form the entire agreement about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with an affiliate relationship, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
